I am delighted to welcome you to The Buchan School, the junior school to King William's College. Our founder, Laura Lady Buchan, was committed to providing an educational opportunity for all and from that strong foundation has emerged a very unique school.

Our school endeavours to provide a range of high quality opportunities for all children to experience and from which they can develop their own individual talents. The distinctive curriculum has a strong academic focus with an emphasis on the creative arts and sport; in essence, it provides the ideal stepping stone to the International Baccalaureate. Our pupils thrive, secure in the knowledge that they are within a supportive, caring environment. This, combined with an atmosphere which encourages high personal expectations and the willingness to support others, helps us to achieve our aims.

As parents, we would all wish our children to be happy and confident, achieving the very best in all that they do. As the Headmistress, my aim is to make this a reality at The Buchan School.
